What a crazy time I had in Madrid but it was beautiful! I saw the most beautiful city. Everything was beautiful, even their huge post office. Yesterday we went to the Royal Palace and toured the inside as well as the Parque de Madrid, which were both breathtaking. We also saw a flamenco dancing show, Carmen and ate dinner at a trendy resturaunt where I ate a tortilla espanola and gambas con ajilo (spanish omlette and shrimp sizzling in garlic). I am so happy I got to have the experience. My feet are still swolen from all the walking but I´m sure I´ll get used to it. People were rude there but I tried not to let it ruin my experience. It is difficult standing out, and in a bad way, but I still did my best to communicate in their language and be polite. I have finally made it to Alicante after long Metro rides and a 5 hour bus ride! It is even more beautiful here (but a different beautiful)! I´m so excited to get started with our studies and meet my family! We met up with Rex and Karin and are going to eat some dinner. Here are some pictures though, but only a few:

Plaza Mayor
A Cathedral across the street from the Palace. It has all the popes around the top.
Famous musuem (name is kinda obvious)
Royal Palace! There was so much gold inside it was beautiful!
Me at the gate of el Parque de Madrid
Inside the park. This was beautiful and I have more photos close up.
Statue in the park with a cat. I thought Jaclyn would love this!
I love and miss you all!
