Arrival

What an eventful day. We landed in Madrid safely and had a nice trip on the Metro. of course my suitcase wheel broken on my 12 ton suitcase so lugging that around was funtastic! We later had to walk around Madrid for a good 20 minutes to find our hostal only to climb 3 flights of stairs for the woman to tell us we must go to her mothers hostal. After that things started to move a little more smoothly. We had a great time walking around the beautiful city and saw the outside of the Royal Palace (there were official ceremonies taking place today), a cathedral, and we toured el Museo del Prado. It was awesome but we were pretty exhausted. After a nice little nap we headed out to get food at this nice little restaurant. It was fun eating out and I tried Patatas Bravas which to my surprise were potato wedges :) I miss everyone at home and will be uploading photos as soon as I get to Alicante.
